Missions

LPBC believes that a church MUST be engaged in Bible-based Discipleship, Evangelism, and Missions work to truly be a healthy church.

Our Understanding of Missions

Lane Prairie Baptist Church (LPBC) believes “Missions” involves the activity in which believers:

  1. Strategically and contextually engage in expanding the Kingdom of God under the guidance of Scripture and the Holy Spirit; through
  2. intentional, direct, and verbal proclamation to unbelievers (no matter who they are or where they are) from the Scriptures how the sinless life, substitutionary death, burial, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, is the one and only propitiation and provision for the sins of any individual who repents of his/her sin and believes in Christ; and
  3. leading believers in a discipleship process that involves believer’s baptism by immersion, Bible study, prayer, evangelism, and functioning in a local healthy church; and
  4. when there is no healthy local church, engagement in the process of helping local believers understand and form a healthy new church; and
  5. the development of church leaders; and
  6. all this is done with the goal of the missionary leaving the believers able to carry on as healthy believers and churches that will become partners in the work of expanding the Kingdom of God.

Legacy of Missions

LPBC has a strong history of missions involvement. Our church has engaged in mission work in south Texas, Kenya, China, Madagascar, Poland, and Japan. We are committed to supporting and working alone side NAMB and IMB missionaries. We also have partnerships with godly churches and organizations around the world.

If you want to be part of it, all you need to do is show up and we will make sure to give you all the information you need to go and tell others about Jesus.

Missions Partnerships

We know that the Church of Jesus is bigger than our local church, so we partner with church planters and missionaries in different ways to make sure that Jesus is glorified here in Texas, in the United States, and throughout the world.
Join us in prayer for our church planters, missionaries, and national partners as they go and proclaim the salvation that comes through Jesus.
