Lane Prairie Baptist Church, please join us in “40 Days of Prayer” as we continue to seek God’s will in the search for the next Senior Pastor. Each of the forty days includes specific verses to read as well as prayer needs. We encourage you and your family to dedicate time for the “40 Days of Prayer”.
Week 5: July 5-11
Day 29 – July 5

Prayer Points
- Pray that Lane Prairie not become a lukewarm church
- Pray that church members will repent of a lukewarm spirituality and become filled with zeal for Jesus and His kingdom work
Day 30 – July 6
Bible Verses to Read: Hebrews 10:19-25
Prayer Points
- Pray for Lane Prairie to be a church committed to Biblical worship
- Pray for the search committee to be confident that they are following God’s will as they make decisions regarding the future pastor
Day 31 – July 7

- Pray that our future pastor shepherds the church in a biblical and Christ-exalting manner
- Pray for our future pastor’s walk with Christ
Day 32 – July 8

- Pray for mutual respect and humility between the church and our future pastor
- Pray for our church to follow the leadership of our future pastor

- Pray for the search committee to remain humble before God and that they will not be anxious, but trusting in God’s leadership
- Pray that the church will stand firm against the schemes of the devil

- Pray for the Lord to reveal His will to our future pastor

- Pray that, in times of discouragement, the church and search committee will seek the Lord diligently and have confidence that He is working to bring the church and future pastor together

Day 36 – July 12

- Pray that, when the time comes to extend a call to the next pastor, God will make it unmistakably clear to the future pastor and to the church
- Pray for the Lord to work powerfully in the church to make disciples
Day 37 – July 13

- Pray for the search committee to discern if potential pastoral candidates possess the Biblical qualities of a servant of the Lord
- Pray for the church to affirm these qualities in the future pastor
Day 38 – July 14

- Pray for the search committee to not grow weary in their work
- Pray that the search committee and the church will be able to see God’s hand at work in bringing Lane Prairie and our future pastor together
